 Means new stuff

I am writing because of my interest in TCAN. While I am a professional jazz musician, as well as a faculty member at Berklee College of Music in Boston, my interest in the arts is widespread and eclectic. I have been a member of the TCAN community for some time now and very much appreciate the diverse nature of the arts programming that TCAN has offered. TCAN is the direct result of the Michael Moran's energy, determination, and vision. The success of this nonprofit community arts organization so far corresponds directly to his efforts. I believe it is a very serious mistake to jettison the very person whose imagination and dedicated hard work has galvanized and transformed TCAN into the potential jewel that it is today.

I cannot imagine any successor who would be capable of following in Michael's footsteps with as much enthusiasm or single-minded purpose. If Michael had simply tired of the Herculean effort he has been putting into making TCAN a success and decided to resign, I would have been disappointed but not surprised. That the Board has involuntarily replaced him is almost beyond my understanding. I am not privy to the inner workings and behind-the-scenes issues that have led to Michael's dismissal, of course, but I sincerely hope that further effort will be made to resolve the impasse with him.

I know that you are eager to act in the best interest of the organization, to protect it from harm, and shepherd it's growth and development. It is my belief that you will be discarding TCAN's greatest asset if are not able to finesse this unfortunate situation.

Because I sincerely hope you will continue to work toward a better solution, I have decided to write you these words.
Thank you for your attention,

John Stein
